com's back up

FINALLY pc is back on. luckily i had d/l the standalone sp2 installer, which was like, wat, 270mb odd? heh and saved it on another of my partitions.
wanted to buy a pirated winxp pro, which i did, but cd didnt work, then changed cd. wasnt a bootable cd and didnt allow me to format, rather just install on top of watever i have, which isnt healthy. so out of desperation, i tried to boot up with my winxp home edition upgrade cd. a original cd i bought long long ago. since i installed it back then on top of my win98 installation, i didnt think it'd work now since i dun have the win98 cd.

then it prompted me for a windows cd, be it 95,98,ME or even 2000. since there was no harm trying, i threw in the pirated winxp pro. AND IT WORKED! fomatted my main partition and installed a fresh winxp sp1. THEN installed the sp2. and the other drivers! my pc works GREAT now. hehehehehe
