there goes the com, AGAIN
well, that makes it 2 pc screw ups within a year. is that possible? ok i guess when ur running a system like mine, the probability would be a hell lot higher. it takes all of my pc technical skills just to keep my pc together. think han solo and his millenium falcon, lol. damn plane's gonna fall apart anytime, but han somehow manages to keep it together.
well this time its a software problem, well at least i think so. lets see where did it all begin. first i guess it was updating my gfx card drivers. apparently suddenly my windows refuses to accept the damn drivers. tried to install them manually even, but i keep getting "parameter is incorrect" msg at the end. wtf does that mean!? ok fine, so my winxp is finally screwing up... my graphics is running on the generic vga drivers, lol. which means low res+slow refresh rate=painful eyes. not to mention not as colourful and vibrant as before. and i cant even play games to boot!
so i decide to d/l the offline installer for winxp sp2. a whopping 270mb worth of another microsoft shit. yes people, i've converted, maybe not physically, but mentally, i'm a mac convert, lol. how my pc seemed to have screwed up, and how its so damn hard to guide customers over the phone on their windows, enuf is enuf. anyway, i thought that if i installed sp2, i hoped my windows would work again. apparently another electrical appliance decides to die on my house at the same time i'm installing sp2 on my pc, overnight, my fridge caused a power trip. yes folks, a power trip in the middle of installing my sp2. mum woke up so she can cook so that we can eat to fast for the day. ok fine, i'm cool, relaxed, i can fix this. heard my parents discuss, whether if it was the fridge or not. said they'll try again later when the sun is up.(note it was 4.45am)
"your windows is now in an unstable condition, pls uninstall sp2 or contact your system administrator"
i got that msg when i started up the pc after eating. ok fine, relax, uninstall is the first priority. run the uninstall application and let it run. went back to bed.
BAM another power trip. WTF!? this time i couldnt take it anymore, went out of room, screamin at mum at how i was trying to fix the computer! she said she didnt tell me, then shot back at her, saying how she'd try when the sun is up. she dispute saying she said later. i pointed outside, the sun isnt up yet. ARGH. anoter incident that i can relate to the millenium falcon. here's lando trying to fix the falcon, and u have the falcon's hyperdrives failing on him, as it did han right before. haha sigh
was so pissed. its bad enuf the pc's that screwed, but to add oil to the fire by the barrells? man, there's far more effective ways to kill a pc. didnt bother to boot pc to check, i knew it was a goner. was cursing and swearing in my head. didnt feel like fasting for the day, wanted to smoke and smoke and be angry and full of hatred. but no, its not right,rachel wouldnt approve.she'd lecture me.and prolly force me to play Para Para, but thats not the point. so i forced myself to cool and slept a bit before going to work.
later that afternoon, my bro called from home "eh why the mouse cannot move?"
YES well done. GOOD GAME! fux0r. told him pc is fucked and to blame it on mum. he groaned and hung up.
got home later that nite and tried to fix the pc. so happens that every single device on my pc didnt have their drivers installed, so i had to manually add drivers everytime i was prompted. had to rely on keyboard first until i got the mouse drivers installed. everything was fine, still under generic vga drivers but now, my adsl modem refuses to connect. well done. and cant find my adsl modem drivers. sigh. and the drivers from the website is a whopping 8mb, even if i could use winzip to span the file into many floppy disks i remember that my pc floppy drive is fux0red. ARGH. so i guess the best would be to get someone to burn the drivers for me.
prolly get rachel to do it.
until then my pc is now effectively an unstable and very expensive and almost obselete word processor since i cant play games, i cant go online and it can barely play any video. bleh.

and its a nice rpg game guys, pls sign up for it if u like it! it has my recommendation. turn based rpg, webbased, sounds simple but it has amazing features! u get free 20days of evaluation play i think, and then u'd have to pay after that. doesnt sound too bad though. take a look k?
